CONGRATULATIONS TO JAMES AND GABY!

It was an absolute privilege to create the wedding cake for James and Gaby, a couple whose love for a good slice of cake and appreciation for edible art made the experience even more special.

James and Gaby’s wedding was a picture of timeless elegance, the couple tied the knot in June with a traditional church ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Set in the picturesque Sussex countryside, James and Gaby blended chic styling with the relaxed vibe of the English countryside surrounded by greenery, plants and flowers.

Their wedding breakfast and evening reception were hosted at their family home in a beautifully decorated marquee, adorned with seasonal blooms by Sage and Co Floral Design. The floral arrangements and bridal bouquet featured English roses, Sweet Peas, Alliums and Stocks. Soft tones of pinks, peach, ivory, and green wove throughout the wedding styling.

Every detail—from the bridal ensemble to the wedding cake and patterned table linens were thoughtfully curated, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.

THE WEDDING CAKE

This cake design is the perfect example of understated elegance!! It is such a timeless design with so much delicate detailing. The design features a beautifully intricate edible garden scene, with delicate embossed botanical motifs of trailing flowers and vines, tiny robins and garden sparrows’ all handcrafted in edible fondant.

James and Gaby wanted their countryside setting reflecting across the finer details of their day, ensuring that each element complemented another. The cake not only mirrored the stunning setting but also the beautiful textures of Gaby’s exquisite handmade bridal gown by Emma Beaumont Atelier, which featured a timelessly elegant silhouette with a high neck and long sleeve lace overlay with delicate embroidered pearl and beaded flowers.
